So I present, for the approval of the midnight society, the Bluejay blogpost totally devoted to harsh shredding.

ECM, Windham Hill and CTI need more circulation and interpretation in punk and hardcore. If you know of artists that do this, let Bluejay know. Prog is the wrong word because there's something explicitly spiritual around some places.

Spiritual music-making has a sort of bad taste associated with it. Just pushing virtuoso musicianship a little bit in a purely creative direction gives something awesome. Forget about low fideligarchy. Knowing how to play is sweet.
